Suckers

Say hello to last night's Liar, Dave Dickerson. Once again, the diabolical wit and ingenuity of a slippery storyteller saved me from ravaging my t-shirt reserves. Those things don't grow on trees. It was a very (very) good show. If you were there, thanks so much for coming. And for being so gullible. It's kind of cute. Come back Monday, December 4th, and try again with James Braly, Martin Dockery, Ophira Eisenberg and Xeni Fragakis. For the record, I think Xeni is a made-up name.

They Have Such Honest Faces

Well, maybe not that last guy. And I'm not sure I'd let #2 date my daughter. In fact, don't trust any of them. So who's lying this time?

David Dickerson
David is a writer and crossword editor originally from Tucson, Arizona. He moved to New York nine months ago after getting a Ph.D. in English at Florida State, and a four year stint as a greeting card writer at Hallmark. His humor pieces have appeared in The Atlantic Monthly and Mirth of a Nation, and one of his stories was selected for Year's Best Fantasy and Science Fiction 2005. And yes, he dresses like this all the time; it's not a costume.

Peter Lubell
Peter has been speaking since his first breath. During periods of inhalation, he has written, produced and directed for many television networks, and for public radio. He's covered film festivals in print, worked as a jazz DJ in radio and told his stories at The Moth and Speakeasy. He asks that you please do not refrigerate or freeze your coffee.

Andy Christie (host)
Called "Tall, brilliant and brutally handsome" by James Frey, Andy is your basic regular guy, 4-time Moth Slam winner and co-author and illustrator of I Wasn’t Kidding (Random House), a book that explored the funny side of suicide. Not surprisingly, it died on remainder shelves. But he lives on, onstage, online and on the pages of snooty literary journals. He has been a featured Moth Main Stage storyteller and is currently working on Sicker! The Movie: A Novel.
