In Vino Non Veritas

I grew up in Brooklyn. Well, Queens--but a block from the Brooklyn border. So, as a born* and bred† Brooklyn boy, I'm proud to announce our first all-Brooklyn show. On May 3rd, Liar will begin it's monthly run on "The Great White Way of Boerum Hill": Atlantic Avenue. So come guess who's lying at beautiful donna da vine, where the wine goes down easy and the stories are hard to swallow.
*Scotland. †Queens.
Thursday, May 3 @ 8:00pm - $5

Lucy Baker will be serving and telling a story. How does she do it? Her writing has appeared in the Village Voice, McSweeney's Internet Tendency, Monkey Bicycle, Fresh Yarn, Mr. Beller's Neighborhood, and reallysmalltalk.com, among others. She is also a frequent storyteller at the Moth.

Martin Dockery is a frequent storyteller at the Moth slams, and has competed in the Moth Grandslam three times. He’s appeared at other such venues as Speakeasy, Talking Stick, Mouthpiece, and others. He’s just returned from a few months in China, Mongolia, and Canada, much to the relief of his dog.

Bill Kennedy is an actor, writer and monologist who inhabits Prospect Heights.

Jon Levin has been a featured performer on the Moth mainstage. When not working on obscure documentaries, he is writing a psycho-spiritual memoir set against a backdrop of politics, corporate media, pop-culture and drug abuse. Just like everyone else.
